It’s a new year! Hope it proves to be a happy one for all our neighbors on Bowfin !
Regarding the page 3 news for the Lions Club Crab Dinner, our neighbor, Janis Kiesel, has sent out this note:
For the past 20 years in February, we have come together in a large group to enjoy a crab dinner and raise funds to support community organizations. This year due to the pandemic, we are not able to get together in a large group, but we can enjoy a crab dinner and raise funds for two worthy organizations. The pandemic which prevents us from gathering in a large group is also causing a rise in the number of people who need assistance, so our work to help others must continue.
The Foster City Lions Club is having a drive through pick up crab dinner and raffle fundraiser. The proceeds of this event will benefit: -Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to seniors and disabled individuals -Peninsula Humane Society, providing assistance to pet owners who are in need of pet food.
During this pandemic, we can help those in need and enjoy a distraction from our daily lives with a crab (or chicken) dinner and online Zoom raffle. See attached information.
You may purchase meal tickets, raffle tickets or make a donation here: https://fclionscharities.wixsite.com/crabdinner
